Morning Gloryville burns up central Melbourne
Global pre-work rave phenomenon Morning Gloryville celebrates its legendary outlandishness with its newest Melbourne instalment, an intergalactic jurassic sparkle party.
“We had a lot of fun filming for MGV last year,” explains Rat & Dragon director Saxon, “the crowd are great, the energy is next to none and thanks to everyone’s huge effort with decor and costumes, visually it’s a bit of a feast. We can’t wait to see what they come up with next!”
Instagram follows Rat & Dragon
In a rare move, Instagram has started following Rat & Dragon.
“We’re really excited to bring out little pieces of destination inspiration to an even wider audience,” explains director Saxon. “Thanks for an awesome platform to share our work and showing active interest in independent content producers. The world is one helluva studio!”
Cinequest celebrates Downsizer
“Seeing your film on the big screen in front of hundreds of people really is quite something,” producer Nicola explains in an interview with South Bay Pulse after the third and final screening of Downsizer at this year’s Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose, California.
Director Joe Pavlo, casting director Rory O’Donnell and producer Nicola Petrides were thrilled with its reception and especially enamoured with the historic California theatre, where Downsizer screened in conjunction with David Schendel’s ‘The Comedy Club’ on the 6th of March.
“Seeing all the familiar Cinequest team faces again has been wonderful, and after this year’s audience reception, we can’t wait to distribute Downsizer to the public.”

AutoDrive to screen at London Cinema Museum
In conjunction with the premiere of Lost Soul by Jason Read, AutoDrive screened at the Cinema Museum London on the 13th February.
“Thank you to all the cast, crew and supporters who came along to view the collected works of myself and Jason Read.” explains director Rory O’Donnell, “In the unsettled world we live in you all made us incredibly proud of our achievements.”

Downsizer official selection at Cinequest 2016
Downsizer has been officially selected for this year’s Cinequest lineup in the heart of silicon valley, California. The action packed distopian comedy will be screening in conjunction with David Schendel’s ‘The Comedy Club’, that documents the rise and fall of one of San Fransisco’s most famous theatres, that gave rise to performers such as Robin Williams and Ellen De Generes.
“This will be my second time at Cinequest, I can’t wait,” explains producer Nicola. “It’s a great festival with a fantastic mix of world class film makers and an very active local audience so you get both industry and public exposure.”
Downsizer will be screening at the Hammer Theatre (05/03), The California Theatre (06/03) and Screen 12 (10/03).
RaD shoots STA Travel Europe Cover
Walk into any STA Travel around the world and a RaD image will look back at you from the Europe cover, one of 6 core brochures with millions of copies distributed worldwide.
“The image was originally shot as part of the Insider Intel series in Berlin at the beginning of the project,” explains producer Nicola, “our local team shot the high res print image after the Epic Journey had been completed in Sydney. Now it’s’ everywhere in between as well.”

Stray Season Launch Party & Film Premiere
This October saw Stray NZ & Asia‘s biggest season launch to date, as industry experts headed to Auckland to celebrate new products and the premier of Rat & Dragon’s Stray Asia’s content suite.
“A film premiere requires a tuxedo,” explains director Saxon,”there are no two ways about it. We are overjoyed to present our films to such a hugely inspiring audience. Stray Asia – it’s been amazing.”
